The Impact of Parent and Community Involvement
Getting involved sends a positive message to scholars about the importance of participating in the larger community. Paideia is more than a school for your children; it is a community for our families. Paideia means the whole child, and we’ve extended it to mean “Whole Child – Whole Families!” The Paideia idea resonates with families across our community, resulting in strong and supportive involvement of all parents (to include grand-families) in the life of the school.
There are many ways to get involved at Paideia:
Help in classrooms
Serve on committees
Share skills and interests with students
Donate and/or raise money for special Paideia projects
Volunteer in the cafenasium
Mentor scholar leaders
When parents and extended family members share their knowledge, talents, and service, they help create a more enriched environment and create lasting bonds of friendship. Through the involvement of many, the quality of learning experienced at Paideia is greatly enhanced.
You’ll get a feel for the synergy and excitement that makes Paideia special when you walk through our campus and participate in the life of the school. Volunteering at Paideia is a great way to experience the school in action and to get to know the faculty, staff and your scholar’s classmates.
As you serve, you will experience the love we have for you, our scholars, and our community. In turn, you will feel empowered to spread that love throughout our community!
